On August 25, 2024, Tolerance Posters appeared at a political demonstration during the “Herz in der Hand” (Heart in Your Hand) Festival in Zittau. Organized by the Democratic Upper Lusatia Alliance, the demonstrations came days before the state election on September 1st and preached tolerance in the face of right-wing extremism.

“Our democratic society in Upper Lusatia has long been under pressure. The AfD (Alternative for Germany) and other right-wing extremists are endangering our coexistence through hate and incitement. We stand against this. We will not allow freedom and human rights to be displaced by fear and intolerance.” -- Democratic Upper Lusatia Alliance

Opening speeches were held by Mayor of Zittau Thomas Zenker, Thomas Pilz, Armin Pietsch, and “Grandmothers Against the Right.”
