On July 25th, 2025, the Tolerance Poster Show opened in Lampedusa. Lampedusa is an Italian island located south of Sicily, closer to Tunisia than to mainland Italy. The posters were installed throughout the city, from the façade of the Museo Archeologico delle Isole Pelagie to the city center. Three large sails covered the museum façade, while 25 flags lined the town’s most popular Via Roma street, creating a “walk of tolerance” for both residents and visitors to the island. Moved by the island’s Scirocco and Mistral winds, the graphics symbolically set the Tolerance Project's messages in motion.
The opening was attended by Laura Casano, Lampedusa’s Councillor for Culture; Maria Concetta Parello from Parco Archeologico e Paesaggistico della Valle dei Templi; Massimiliano Schiozzi and Vincenzo Luongo from Cizerouno; and Rosangela Mannino, Andrea Pavia, and Luca Siragusa from ATS Pelagies.
The show was made possible through the collaboration between the Cizerouno Cultural Association (Trieste), Parco Archeologico e Paesaggistico della Valle dei Templi (Agrigento), and ATS Pelagies (Lampedusa), as part of Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025.
