On May 5th, 2025, the Tolerance Poster Show opened at the School of Education, Communication and Sports — Politécnico da Guarda, in Guarda, Portugal. The show remained on view until the end of the month. Alongside the exhibition, a talk on disability and tolerance was delivered by Professor José Miguel Nogueira from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon.

José Miguel Nogueira is a professor at Iscte, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Master’s Program in Disability Studies and Human Rights. He is a researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES) and the Operational Coordinator of the Centre for Disability Studies. From November 26th, 2015, to February 2nd, 2017, José Miguel Nogueira served as Head of Cabinet to the Secretary of State for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Portugal. During this period, he contributed to the development of innovative policies such as the Social Inclusion Benefit (PSI) and the Independent Living Support Model (MAVI).

Our special thanks to João Carlos Pereira Mira Leitão for his efforts in making these events possible.

Tolerance posters/flyers were spread throughout the school. Unfortunately, the photographs we have received don't do justice to the show. A slightly better view of the show can be seen in the video.
