On March 20th, 2025, for Interfaith Iftar, Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, DC organized a special one-night event and Tolerance Poster Show at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington.

In observance of Ramadan for interfaith Iftar, people from different backgrounds and faiths are invited to share food and conversations. The goal of Iftar is to promote community cohesion, understanding, and solidarity. Iftar means ‘fast-breaking,’ and it is an integral part of the Muslim community’s life during the sacred month of Ramadan. Muslims break their daily Ramadan fast with a community dinner called an “Iftar”.

This event was made possible thanks to the effort of Meryem Guergaf, Public Diplomacy Officer at Qatar Embassy in Washington, DC.
