Zittau, Germany

July 20, 2024

On July 20th, 2024, the Tolerance Poster Show opened at the Marktplatz in Zittau, Germany, as a part of ToleranZ events. The show will be exhibited until September 15th, 2024.

Many events were organized throughout this time to accompany the Tolerance Poster Show. On July 24th, a representative of Doctors without Borders, Dr. Mühl-Benninghaus, gave a lecture to accompany the exhibition. On August 24th, Augen Auf! organized a cultural festival in the market square in Zittau under the motto “Pure lust for life.” Augen auf-Zivilcourage Zeigen has worked against right-wing tendencies in society for many years. During this festival, Augen Auf! organized their third open workshop on poster design in the middle of the Tolerance Poster Show. On August 24th, ten young people carried posters of their choice through Zittau. A school class from Zittau has asked to do an additional workshop about the exhibition in the Fischhaus studio, and there is a second inquiry from another school.

This Tolerance Poster Show was arranged by a small team: Frank Hiller, Konrad Riedel, Margo Kuprynenko, along with many volunteers. Thanks to Carola Wolf, we were able to count on the full support of the printing company Lausitzwerbung.

We are especially thankful to Micheline Richau and Benjamin Pfefferkorn for their relentless effort in making this show possible.
