On September 7th, 2023 the second Tolerance Poster Show in Japan was held as part of the NEW ENERGY TOKYO Creation Festival at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. 120 posters were displayed next to the entrance. Based on the festival's concept of ethical thinking, the posters were printed on up-cycled paper made from pre and post consumer fabric scraps. The show won the prestigious Ethical Award selected by FRaU magazine and the festival organizers.
This show was made possible by the relentless effort of Aya Komboo, Matthew Waldman, and Samcara Design Lab, Keio University Graduate School of Media Design and Tolerance Japan. We would like to extend our thanks to the Circular Cotton Factory, Kyodo Printing Co, and Shinsei Pulp and Paper Co for their support.
