Lima, Peru

January 28, 2023

On January 28th, 2023, the Tolerance Poster Show took place in the main courtyard of the Santo Domingo Museum in Lima, Peru, as part of the Peru Design Biennial.

The Santo Domingo Museum, founded in 1535, is famous for housing Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, officially the first "Peruvian university" and the oldest in "America", which began functioning in the 16th century. The Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in America, is the most important and representative centre of higher education in Peru. Many intellectuals have passed through its classrooms, among them the Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa, the Nobel Prize for Literature winner. Also, the national anthem of Peru was composed in the museum in 1821.

We want to extend our gratitude to Abelardo Arce, Fidel Cardenas, Camila CCoillo, Valery Martino and Peru Design Biennial who made the show possible.
