On the 28th of May at Die Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg (“The Making Berlin-Kreuzberg”), the Tolerance Poster Show has opened an exhibition as part of Berlin Design Week 2026.
“For Berlin Design Week 2026, the Tolerance Poster Show returns to the festival for the second time. 82 selected posters will be on show at Die Macherei — printed by Lieblingsdrucker Berlin. Political poster culture as attitude, not decoration. A contribution that takes the festival motto DESIGN REAL at its word…
The way the posters were displayed was impressive; they were laid out on the floor rather than hung on the walls. This created a unique effect, as beams of light streamed into the space from the side during the early evening—shortly before the building closed. This resulted in beautiful, natural patterns of light alongside the striking poster art. In some spots, the incoming light even created small rainbows—a perfect visual interplay with the exhibition’s theme of tolerance. “
The exhibition was curated by Alexandra Klatt, whose relentless efforts made this show possible.
