On May 1st, the Tolerance Poster Show opened on the terrace of Gallery “Serdika,” located in the heart of one of the most visited markets in Sofia, the Zhenski Pasar or “Women’s Market.”
The Gallery “Serdika” is a contemporary art gallery with an emphasis on socially conscious and youth art. The “Women’s Market,” besides being a lively commercial hub, is also characterized by its multicultural diversity—a meeting point of various social and ethnic groups, ranging from marginalized communities to newly emerging avant-garde gallery spaces. In this sense, it is an environment that fully resonates with the messages of the international poster initiative “Tolerance.” The exhibition can be viewed until July 1, 2026.
The present event marks the fifth presentation in Sofia of different posters from the Tolerance Project’s collection. All these shows were organized by the International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia Co-Founder Albena Spasova, and we thank her again for her relentless effort in spreading Tolerance in Bulgaria.
