Shinjuku, Japan

November 1, 2025 - November 3, 2025

On November 1st, the Tolerance Poster Show opened at LUMINE Art Fair in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The show featured 31 physical Tolerance Posters and a projector displaying digital versions of much of the Tolerance Poster Show’s archives.

The show was our second held at a NEWoMan department complex, a high-end department store under the LUMINE Group and ran through November 3rd. The Shinjuku NEWoMan complex is located on the south side of Shinjuku Station, the busiest railroad station in the world.

Special thanks to Aya Komboo for her relentless effort in making this show happen, Keio University for the printing of physical posters and monitors for displaying digital posters and LUMINE Co., Ltd. and Otherwise Gallery for organizing the show. Tolerance Japan is curated by Aya Komboo and Matthew Waldman as a project of Professor Waldman’s SAMCARA lab at the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design.
