On February 2nd, the Tolerance Poster Show opened in the Colonnade windows of the Foundation Building of The Cooper Union in New York. It will be on display until Saturday, February 26th, 2022.
Established in 1859, Cooper Union is one of the oldest art schools in the United States. Amongst other things, it's famous for Abraham Lincoln's speech against slavery in 1860, which was delivered in the Great Hall of that building. Today, it is known as the Cooper Union speech.
This show was made possible by Sasha Tochilovsky, Curator of the Herb Lubalin Study Center at The Cooper Union and Mike Essl, the Dean of the School of Art at The Cooper Union, who helped with the project and wrote the introduction.
Special thanks to Mindy Lang, Creative Director of The Cooper Union, for designing the windows display.
